Prevention is #1 with First Impressions. When it comes to a child’s teeth, it’s easier and less costly to prevent tooth problems rather than fix them later.

Our team of dentists and hygienists use some of the most innovative approaches in dental care to protect your child from cavities. New research, technology, and assessment tools are allowing us to go even further to assess your child’s risk for cavities and other oral issues.

ADVANCED PREVENTION SCREENING AND TESTS FOR THE BEST CARE PROGRAM INCLUDE:

  • Dentist and hygienist early evaluation of your child
  • A detailed assessment of your child’s specific risk for cavities and
  • A consult to help prevent or reverse those factors
  • Determination of risk for future illness and creating a plan for prevention
  • A personalized folder with information to take home on the factors discussed
  • A courtesy follow-up phone call to answer any questions on topics covered
  • A copy of any X-Rays taken

Some insurance plans cover exams and cleanings but limit important prevention services. Be sure to check your insurance coverage pertaining to restrictions regarding important screenings, assessments, and instructional services.


COST BREAKDOWN OF ASSESSMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES BASES ON DETERMINED RISK LEVEL:

  • Low Risk - Oral Hygiene Instruction $0
  • Moderate Risk - Nutritional Counseling for Control of Disease ($10) and Oral Hygiene Instruction ($0)
  • High Risk - Caries Susceptibility Screening ($20), Nutritional Counseling ($10), and Oral Hygiene Instruction ($0)

Based on your child’s risk assessment outcome, one or more of the services above may be provided but you will never be charged more than $30 to participate in this important program. If you wish to deny the services discussed, please do so by answering “no” on the health history form.
